Learning and Memory Fact Sheet
Procedural knowledge takes place at a hardwired level of the brain where encoded consolidated or retrieved information is stored (Babaei & Azari, 2022). Encoding begins with any stimuli the brain notices, such as light or sound, and then processes those stimuli based on some genetic knowledge. This procedure guides outside stimuli towards a storage form that is fit to be stored. It is also mentioned that such data need to be integrated into the hippocampus for decision-making about their relevance for further storage. When encoded they are safe in storage and retrieval and this can be done while resting or asleep. Memory is the retrieval of information that is stored in the brain by use of hints or signals for use or integration into activities.
Techniques to Enhance Learning and Memory
Another good strategy is the technique of organizational skills within the learning and memory processes. He noted that perhaps outlining or dividing content in terms of sections or, indeed, words is helpful while absorbing the content. I believe this method is useful for enhancing memory retention because learners may get to understand issues better. With concepts discussed in the organization and the act of active recall and adequate sleep, it is now clear that enhancing memory is achievable for everyone. However in children with autism specific teaching techniques like teaching with graphics and illustrations, and teaching them to perform some instructed behaviors meet the learning need, thus opening a window towards equal educational opportunity. That is why, each individual requires increasing his/her level of understanding of those points to meet the academic or personal objectives.
