Research Breakdown Worksheet
Hypothesis or Research Question
A hypothesis or research question outlines the channel within which a study will happen. Thus, the research question could include the following: to what extent does technology help improve the patient’s condition? A possible hypothesis might be that engaging telemedicine solutions within multiple rural healthcare facilities contributed to cutting patient readmission by half. It guides the research activity from the method used in data collection to the data analyzed to provide purposeful and relevant results.
Researchers’ Conclusion
The concluding part of the study by the researchers presents the final thoughts of the authors in a brief statement that closes the study. You judge the argumentation approach’s suitability and coherence about the hypothesis under consideration, and the research question is solved directly. For example, a paper comparing the outcomes of telemedicine may provide the evaluative conclusion that their use has enhanced service availability, reduced readmissions, and increased the levels of satisfaction among patients. The conceived conclusions affirm the hypothesis underlining the pragmatic and theoretical importance of the study.
Furthermore, sometimes the conclusion encloses limitations to the research, including the sample of the study, or the extent of the analysis carried, out to enhance credibility in the analysis done and approach used in the research. The conclusion also signals directions for future research to build on to advance the knowledge on the subject. Through the correlation of findings to applications, the conclusion guarantees that the research makes a positive contribution to knowledge and practice.
Research Method
The research method is therefore a logical and methodical approach employed to raise the research question or to test the hypothesis (Grove et al., 2019). These are the method of data gathering, the method of data analysis, and also validity and reliability of the study. This is because studies with large groups, for instance, randomized controlled trials, can check different quantitative hypotheses that measure the effect of telemedicine on readmission rates. On the other hand, qualitative type of studies could describe patients’ and providers’ perceptions of telemedicine from interviews or focus groups.
The advantage of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies is that they complement each other in mixed-methods research in that their findings provide a fuller picture of the problem. For instance, a study could adopt the mode to establish the readmission rate and the mode of telemedicine according to users’ perceptions (Yin, 2018). The use of an organized approach in the study makes it easy to conduct the research ordering to eight the study, makes it easier to replicate in case of any variations makes the study relevant to the research question hence adding to the overall academic and applicative value of the study.
Application to Professional or Daily Life
Knowledge translation is the practice of incorporating research to build the connection between the theoretical and practical use of systems necessitating change to enhance shared results (Polit & Beck, 2021). Telemedicine is the investigated novel in health care and has a great impact worth. For example, it can serve to design policies for further telemedicine integration into rural areas, help to prepare practitioners for the effective use of telehealth technologies and establish technologies that would benefit patient care.
In addition to the business sectors, the results of the studies help to bring improvements in the sphere of health care and make it more accessible and effective. Tele-services save patients time and energy, allow receiving timely consultations, and promote better patient health control. More generally, research also educates the public on various awareness programs that enhance the use of new technologies and the dissemination of health services. These inferences emphasize the multidisciplinary significance of research activities in designing systems and enhancing the health of society.
PSYC FPX 3520 assessment 1 Conclusion
Despite the misconceptions and myths that exist regarding the subject research
enhance and change the practices that exist in the different fields (Creswell et al., 2018). Research-methodologically well anchored in clearly formulated hypotheses in professional and day-to-day practice serves greatly. For example, identifying the effect of telemedicine on health-related performance pointed to the possibility of improving equity and remediating health disparities. In fostering an organizational culture, which supports the concept of inquiry and evidence-based decision-making, the formulation and execution of innovation and societal uplift engage champion research that meets the needs of society.
