Introduction

Every sector has advanced in technology and research is always the foundation of each innovation hence acting as a backing information for the decisions made (Babu et al., 2021). A good research proposal always proposes a clear plan of how a particular problem or question will be addressed to enhance the development of academia, science, or practice. Hence, this proposal aims to explore how nursing can incorporate AI because of its significance in boosting the safety of clients and the quality of the service rendered was discussed earlier in this paper (Babu et al., 2022). The introduction will, therefore, create a basis for background and context for the applicability of AI in healthcare especially due to the existing challenge of shortage of healthcare staff, the ine-accuracy of diagnosis, and the need to cooperate with another discipline. Accordingly, the objectives of the research, correlating with the objectives provided in the literature, will make the research meaningful and concise. With this informed analysis, this project aspires to become a resource for healthcare personnel that provides indispensable tools for enfrentamiento and actualization of good AI solutions.

Research Questions

  1. Where, when, and how could nursing apply AI technologies in practice that will lead to a safer patient environment as well as better quality care?
  2. From the health professional perception, what are the perceived benefits of using AI in nursing, and what does the deployment of AI in nursing entail?
  3. Interprofessional partnership and decision-making for health care, as proposed in the role of artificial intelligence in the nursing landscape, would be influenced.

These questions for research go in tandem with the scope of the proposal: in order to investigate how AI can help with present problems in nursing; while considering the effects of AI on safety, quality, and interprofessional collaboration. It also assists the study in proceeding to such practical recommendations and empirical strategies for applying AI.

Methods, Procedures, and Techniques

Table 2: Sample Characteristics

MethodDescription
Literature ReviewA systematic review of the available literature to identify what is already known about the use of AI in the nursing profession.
Qualitative InterviewsFocus group interviews of purposively selected nurses, physicians, and healthcare administrators with the aim of getting their views on ‘‘perceived problems and opportunities of AI integration in healthcare’’.
Case Study AnalysisStudy of health care organizations that have implemented AI to assess both likelihoods of success and measured results.
Survey ResearchQuestionnaires to a quota sample of HC professionals for obtaining quantitative results on attitudes, adoption, and perceived influence of AI.
Data AnalysisData analysis on topics and themes in the collected qualitative data and parameter analysis to determine trends, patterns, and responses in survey data.

Procedures

Table 3: Participant Recruitment and Study Procedures

Recruitment MethodStudy Procedures
Online AdvertisingDiscussed plans of using social media, nursing forums, and Email campaigns for dissemination of details of the study & recruitment.
Survey DistributionWhen recruiting the participants, one should be able to use Google Forms to administer surveys for screening the participants.
Targeted InvitationsHealthcare institutions should be targeted to directly invite qualified personnel to participate.

Benefits

Some of the advantages that stem from the use of artificial intelligence in nursing would be as follows; AI can guarantee the safety of patients through reduced possibility of diagnostic errors in addition to predictive algorithms (Harnett, 2021). It relieves the nurses in performing some of their daily functions leaving them time and ability to focus on key decisions as well as attending to individual patients’ needs. Moreover, applied intelligent systems contribute to forecasting the time needed, distribution of the resources involved, and necessary interference to maximize workflow productivity. They also facilitate interdisciplinary cooperation through the delivery of more specific, real-time information with which cross-functional healthcare teams can collaborate.

Benefits to Career Field

Beneficial to the nursing profession as it develops chances for career advancement. Integrating AI technologies in nursing care is beneficial because it provides the nurses ample exposure in the area of skill where the nurses are always ahead due to inventions within the healthcare sector (Kane et al., 2022). From the information, technology, options for informatics and analytic work experience, and options for work opportunities to improve care are available to enhance my career. AI also can transform nurses toward performing more complex levels of decision-making and improve the performance and quality of the patient leading to better job satisfaction and professionalism among the nurses. The future of changes in healthcare relies solely on the nurses who possess AI knowledge as highly supportive factors to advocate for change in healthcare service delivery.
